Scott Futch

Scott has over 40 years of experience as a Forester working in the timber and land business. He has a Bachelor of Science in Forest Resources, and a Master of Forest Resources degree both from the Warnell School of Forest Resources at the University of Georgia. Scott also has a Master of Business Administration from Auburn University.
Through his career Scott has purchased and harvested over 1,000+ tracts of timber and land in his career. He has overseen the harvest and delivery of over 5 million tons of Forest Products, and accomplished over $250 million in land, timber, logging, and forest products sales revenues.
Scott is a Registered Forester in the State of Alabama (R.F. # 1565), and in the State of Georgia (R.F. #2737), and he is a Professional Logging Manager in Alabama (PLM#108914). He is also a Land Sales Agent (AL. R.E. Lic #153422) with John Hall & Company and assists clients in the acquisition and sale of timberland properties. Scott is also a Certified Tree Farm Inspector.
On top of knowing timber he has a wealth of experience in purchasing timber and land. He has purchased timber and/or land from the Alabama State Lands Division, the U.S. Forest Service, the Corp Of Engineers and on Ft. Benning Army Base, from large corporations, Timberland Investment Management Organizations, Trust Accounts managed by large Banks, and from hundreds of private landowners.
Formerly he has served on the Board of Directors of the Alabama Forestry Association, served as Chairman of the AFA’s Teachers Conservation Workshop at Auburn University, and was named Alabama’s Most Outstanding Young Forester by the Alabama Chapter of the Society of American Foresters.
Personally Scott is the proud father of 3 grown children. He is a Christian, an avid reader of the bible, and an active church member at Church of the Highlands. He resides in Birmingham, Alabama near the Mt. Laurel Community in Shelby County.
